Clear Negative Energy Associated with Affirmations

Write down the affirmation on a piece of paper and then write the response that comes to mind. Then rewrite the affirmation and the next thought that comes to mind.

Affirmation Clearing Example

I, Bill, love my life! Sure bet.
I, Bill, love my life! But not my job.
I, Bill, love my life! Not right now I don't.
I, Bill, love my life! Maybe someday-if I win the lottery.
I, Bill, love my life! I just wish it wasn't so painful.
I, Bill, love my life! Hmmmm.
I, Bill, love my life! I see the possibilities.

Continue writing the affirmation and your reactions until you no longer elicit negative responses. Do this for several days or until you feel you've discharged the negativity. Now you can return to working with the original affirmation.

This exercise can be time-consuming, but you are worth it! Affirmations are most effective when the path is clear of resistance.
